GINA Registry

What if you want to publish your own version of the Windows Logon screen?

What if you want to alter the look and feel of the Windows Login Prompt?

Use Window GINA dll registry location.

Windows Uses the dll file mentioned in this registry location to load it when winlogon wants to present the user with an input screen.

First you got to create your own dll for the input prompt; And then modify the following registry Location to load your own custom dll.

The location where winlogon searches for the dll to load to be able to present the user with a user login interface/prompt is as follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Value = GinaDLL REG_SZ

The defaults are:

Ginadll:REG_SZ:MSGINA.DLL

Use it to customize it to your own version of the Login Prompt.

As of this writing, AS FAR AS I KNOW this trick is useful / works on Windows XP atleast.
