To export the DNS configuration on DNS server

To do that, please follow the steps below:

a. Install the Windows 2003 support tool from the SUPPORT\TOOLS folder on the Windows 2003 CD.

b. At the command prompt, run the command below:

dnscmd /enumzones > ezone1.txt

dnscmd /info > dns1.txt

After that, open the ezone1.txt to view the zone info.

You can see all the zone names in the file.

Run the following command for the zones one by one. This exports the zone info.

dnscmd /zoneinfo [the zone name] > zone1.txt

Note: For example, if the zone name is test.com in the ezone1.txt file, type the

following command to generate a file named zone1.txt:

dnscmd /zoneinfo test.com > zone1.txt
